Born in up-state NY and raised in the Cape Canaveral area of FL.

She is a nurse by first profession.  Over the years she worked in the operating room, critical care and pediatrics. Although not practicing now, she still frequently uses her nursing knowledge with others.

She returned to higher ed to receive a Master of Arts in  Counseling Psychology. This led her to work with the US Department of Education and the US Department of Transportation on substance abuse prevention issues. She directed a resource center for substance abuse prevention in Southern Maryland.  She also became one of the 'drug czar's' for the state of Maryland.

She was ordained a Deacon in 2004 and a Priest in 2005 in the Diocese of Florida. Since her ordination she continues to work with inmates, ex-offenders their families and their children.

She helped establish a summer camp session of children of offenders in the Diocese of FL. Recently she worked to establish two national annual conferences on Prison and Related Ministry.

While serving in prison ministry, she also served over 5 years as priest-in charge- in for the Church of the Epiphany in  the Diocese of FL. Then served as an assisting priest at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Jacksonville, FL. Now serves the congregation at Historic Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Welaka.

Married for 50  years to her 'rocket scientist' husband Jack, they have 2 grown sons and 3 grandchildren. They have made their retirement home in St. Augustine, FL

Her other interests include family genealogy, she has written a book about her mother's generation and also has a passion for reading.
